Tired of boring salads but not sure what to eat? Whether you’re on the cleanse or max phase, It takes planning and a little creativity to come up with some tasty food options. Here are some non- salad ideas for you.
- Unsalted pistachios, almonds, sunflower seeds, etc with a little fruit on the side (if you have trouble digesting almonds try soaking them).
- Plain oatmeal with fresh fruit mixed in (try adding a spark pack for a tasty alternative).
- Ground chicken, veggie burger, or lean pork sliders on a 100% whole wheat bun, or wrapped in lettuce.
- Stir fry with brown rice
- Hard boiled eggs are the perfect go to snack or a quick meal keep them on hand.
- Canned tuna mixed with different ingredients such as onions, tomatoes, shredded carrots, Just Experiment!
- Make guacamole with fresh ingredients (tomatoes, jalapenos, lemon juice, onions) and eat with shrimp or vegetables
- Baked fish with lemon
- Kabobs on the grill… Chicken and shrimp with your favorite veggies
- Try grilled peaches or pineapple
- Instead of a green salad with lettuce and greens, I roast up chunks of veggies, a lean protein (such as chicken or shrimp) add a little olive oil, garlic, and pepper.
